Do I need to finish the edges or cut the rug when it arrives?

No. Each runner is cut to the length you order and serged on the edges before it ships. You unroll it. You do not trim it, bind it, or finish the ends yourself.

Are hallway runners suitable for homes with pets or kids?

Yes. Short-pile and tightly woven runners stand up to paws, shoes and daily traffic better than a deep pile. Anti-slip runner rugs are the ones to choose on wood, tile or vinyl, because the backing is there to grip a smooth floor.

Which runner rugs are best for offices or shared buildings?

Use the commercial runner rugs for an office, a corridor or a shared building with heavier traffic than a home. The durable runner rugs are the hard-wearing choice when the hall is busy but still a home.

Can runner rugs be used on stairs?

These runner rugs are for hallways and other flat walkways. Stairs need a stair runner, installed with an underlay and gripper pack. A hallway runner is not a substitute for that install.

How long is a runner rug?

You choose the length, up to 100 ft. That covers a long hall or a corridor in one piece. A narrow hall often uses a 1 ft 10 in runner rug. A wider walkway can take a 3 ft 3 in runner rug. The runner size guide covers the gap and where the runner should stop at a door.

What is a runner rug?

It is a long, narrow rug for a hallway or corridor, made to the length you order, with serged edges. It covers the walkway rather than the whole floor. You lay it flat. It is not a fixed ready-made rug size.
