For a safe and long-lasting result, begin by laying our stair runner underlay and gripper pack, which holds your runner securely in place without glue or tape. It works on hard surfaces and carpets, making it suitable for most staircases.

You’ll need a few simple tools: tape measure, bolster, mallet, safety knife, and staple gun. Start from the top step, keeping the runner centred, and secure it step by step. Apply firm, even pressure when stapling at the riser-tread join to prevent movement. Trim any excess at the bottom step with a safety knife for a clean, professional finish.
