Stirling Dark Blue/Gold Hallway Carpet Runners

So far, so good. Lovely carpet and seems to have been made to the highest standard. Quite thick pile and very comfortable to walk on with bare feet. It smells lovely, just like a new carpet should smell. The backing is of a hessian type, which to me indicates a hard wearing quality.
I ordered 300 cm (3m) x 100cm (1m). The size on the length was perfect; the size on the width came in at 104cm.
I ordered this rug to compliment my hallway at the entrance door of my flat, something that could be easily replaced and to fit with my idea of simplicity without needing hammers and nails or grips to secure it down, and at the same time making it modern and nice with a bit of warmth, colour and comfort. This is perfect for me.
I painted my walls with grey, silk emulsion, my back wall, behind the door, for a coat hanger to hang on, black, so that dirt from my wet coats wouldn't show up too conspicuously against black silk paint. I did my skirting boards white, and I did my floor, after good preparation, with a grey Ronseal floor paint. Then, after allowing the paint to harden, I laid the down the runner rug. Look at it. It looks even better with the naked eye than it does in the photograph. This is exactly what I wanted my hallway to look like.
I'm delighted with it.
